2016 National Farmers Union Survey of Membership on Farm Bill Programs; Listening Session Scheduled
The 2014 Agricultural Act expires on September 30, 2018. The reauthorization of the 2014 Farm Bill may be the most challenging reauthorization yet, as more and more threats are made to the farm safety net.
National Farmers Union has worked to create a questionnaire of membership to gain a greater understanding of the implementation of the 2014 Farm Bill provisions, as well as the areas where there is opportunity for policies to greater support family farmers. The questions on this survey are detailed below.
Michigan Farmers Union supports this effort to help assist in preparing for the next Farm Bill. A listening session will be held for interested parties on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016. The session will be held at AgroLiquid IQ Hub, St. John’s, MI from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m..
The Board of Directors encourages you to participate on this survey, which is available using the link below. Paper copies will be provided upon request to the State office.
